Mirrah has a very distinctive vibe and raspy tone, her trans-cultural style of music, and fashion is influenced from ol’skool “Golden Ages” of HipHop, 80’s pop, Chicago House, Soul/ Jazz and R&B. Born Indonesian with African decent, she was adopted by caucasian parents. Raised in America on the streets of Venice Beach, California to then the Australian shores of Sydney. She is proof as a multi-ethnic professional, her sound and vibe is trendsetting. Introducing a refreshing style of music to target the multi-ethnic, cosmopolitan, the metropolitan, the diverse women (her ’sistas’ she quotes) and men across the globe. Mirrah shares her twist on todays pop culture. Therefore “Mirrah”, is a ‘reflection’ of her surroundings. Since she returned to Australia in April 2007 she has hosted the ‘MTV’ Video Music Awards Official After-Party! Mirrah has guested on MTV’s “The Lair” as a performer with Hip-Hop stars Xzibit, Mr Thing, Savage and interviewed on Channel V’s “Freestyle” with Maya Jupiter. She has had the greatest opportunities. Inspired and has worked alongside the likes of Flavor Flav of “Public Enemy”as his Hype-man and KRS-One ( Teacha) of Temple of HipHop. Mirrah also has been on a 9 week reality tv show in America “RU the Girl” with TLC’s T-boz and Chilli. Since Mirrah has been in Australia since April 2007.She was the announcing voice over (ADR) Mistress of Ceremony of the ‘2007 2nd ‘Rhino’s Urban Music Awards’ held in Sydney, Australia! Mirrah also was welcomed by a supportive applause during her performance as support act for “Lupe Fiasco” held at The Forum, Sydney. While in Australia, Mirrah is completing a mix tape and her album alongside some of Australia’s own “NuFirm” R&B Artist/producer Israel, Dj Mizzy & Dj Eko and New Zealand’s best Dj P-Money hip-hop producers expected for release in early 2008.
